What are the main insights you had about yourself in doing this course?
That I can take action to ask for things and to set boundaries, if I genuinely believe in my reason for doing so. When I feel disconnected or unclear about that, then I lose the will to ask for things in the world.
What actions did you take and how did you feel during those experiences?
Disagreed with someone during a creative class when the 'flow' of the group was to let the issue pass. This was very uncomfortable and I felt like I was putting everyone else out, taking up time just so that I could say something.
What is the one main thing you want to remember from this course and keep applying to your life?
Doing something assertive doesn't always lead to massive results, but it is necessary to get to the other side of that particular issue, whatever it is.
What can you do to ensure that what you learned from this course continues to improve your life?
Keep focusing on my core beliefs and values
What was your favourite part of the course?
When the notion that avoiding rejection by someone is automatically rejecting yourself. This felt very profound and relevant to me in particular.
