Which Brojo course does this reflection apply to?
Enhanced Values for Integrity
What are the main insights you had about yourself in doing this course?
That outmoded beliefs about myself and my capabilities have caused me to fall behind and feel my potential is unfulfilled. That I have been dishonest with myself and imposed limitations on my own desires and behaviour. That responsibility has always been key to integrity and fulfilment, while attempting to apportion blame actually kept me in a mental prison.
What actions did you take and how did you feel during those experiences?
Continued commitment to responsibility and honesty with myself: feels infinitely better than regret and shame. Also giving myself permission to say and do the things that come to mind rather than repressing them. Next target is to behave like a sexual being and challenge the limiting belief that this is what “other people” do.
What is the one main thing you want to remember from this course and keep applying to your life?
That there is no real integrity without full responsibility for all aspects of your life.
What can you do to ensure that what you learned from this course continues to improve your life?
Trust my instincts as they are validated by the teachings in this course. Keep stretching yourself e.g. I am doing this walk from one end of Britain to other but why should it not be a longer term aim to trek Kilimanjaro, for example, while fit enough and free to do so? Stop allowing self to feel inferior just because you have felt shame about some aspects of your life: in the round I don’t want to be anyone else.
What was your favourite part of the course?
Responsibility section: the dichotomy between responsibility and blame sums up so many of the things I got right and wrong in life. Solution versus cause. Creator v victim. Etc.
Which part of the course did you find the most difficult, confusing or unhelpful?
Not applicable really: got something out of every day.
Overall, how do you rate this course?
