Want Respect? Own Your Struggles, Don’t Offload Them

Expressing emotions has to come with the number one thing that Red Pillers don’t like: personal responsibility.

You have to own the way you feel.

It’s your job to deal with it.

If you have problems, it’s your job to solve them.

That doesn’t mean you can’t get help from others or lean on people, but you need to give them a sense that you’re not delivering a burden onto them—that you’ve got this, with or without them.

Now, if they want to be part of it, that’s great. But if not, you are not propped up by them.

Nobody wants a patient for a partner unless they themselves are exceptionally ill.

Showing weakness, flaws, and failures is actually one of the key elements to deeply attracting and connecting with someone.

If they can relate to your suffering, and you can show that despite it, you’re going to get the job done, keep your life together—it’s incredibly attractive.

They feel like they’ve found their soulmate when you both relate on the darkness rather than just the light.
