Healthy Anger Management Techniques for People Pleasers

You might’ve been raised in a culture where anger is expressed as getting into a fight or punch a hole in the wall.

Perhaps you were told that this was a good idea. Know that you don't have to do it like that, nor should you.

You can write that letter to your boss who's been pissing you off.

You can drop and try some push-ups or do some pull-ups.

You can always use the energy in a way that's maybe unique to you.

Maybe exercise, maybe assert yourself.

Try something that gets you out of your comfort zone. Be creative. You can come up with a list of prompts for what would be good ideas for this kind of energy.

It's not the emotions that are causing you pain necessarily, even though some of them have painful elements to them.

It's just tension, heat, a bit of soreness, and vibrational activation in the muscles.

None of these things really hurt you.

Suffering comes from the stories that accompany these feelings.

If you ditch the labels, you can ditch the stories and ask yourself: How should I use the way I'm feeling right now?
