A lot of the guys I work with think that they’re cursed in some way when it comes to dating.
They’re trying their best. They’re investing in all kinds of support. They’ve done the dating apps, the matchmaking services, the coaches, the workshops, the bootcamps, the whole shebang.
They’ve spent bags of their hard-earned money, burned themselves out, and allowed this topic to dominate their mental bandwidth.
And yet somehow the results are always the same: they can get something started, things look good for a bit… but it never seems to convert into a proper healthy relationship.
It’s mega-frustrating and gives them a sense of hopelessness. It’s not like they’re sitting at home waiting for a miracle. They ARE out there trying their best. But despite all that effort, women lose interest, things fizzle out suddenly, and the whole thing seems to fall apart after the first few weeks.
That’s why we need to address the secret elephant in the room.
Because when that keeps happening, most guys start blaming. Either they blame women for being impossible, or they blame themselves - the I’m not good enough story, thinking there’s something fundamentally unattractive about themselves.
Unfortunately, neither of these are the most likely explanation.
The good news is that the problem isn’t some mysterious curse. It’s not bad luck. It’s not that you’re uniquely broken.
In most cases, what’s happening is you’re sabotaging yourself without realising it.
A lot of nice guys are not really trying to build a relationship. At a subconscious level, they’re trying to stay safe - and that means avoiding intimacy. They’re trying to prevent rejection, avoid conflict, stop their feelings getting hurt, and generally stay away from risktaking of any emotional nature.
And all of that sounds like a good idea until you realise it kills attraction and prevents healthy relationships from getting off the ground.
The sad thing is that these men often think they’re being good. They think they’re being easygoing, considerate, respectful, emotionally aware, and low maintenance.
But what they’re actually doing is making themselves impossible to trust, hard to respect, and utterly undesireable…
