Often, a guy grows up and he's got no idea when it's okay to be sexual.
He only knows that it's okay to be sensitive and caring.
He doesn't know when to lead, so he goes for the safest option which is to do nothing, to be passive and wait to be led to follow.
Women are also ashamed of their sexuality, aren't they?
They're told that it's slutty to even want sex. That's slowly changing over time, but when I was a boy that was really strong—the worst thing you could call a girl was a slut. That would ruin her high school experience.
Many women end up pretending that they don't feel sexual feelings.
Guys, who are looking around, are thinking: "Do women even want sex?"
They see a bunch of women who don't seem to want sex, which confirms the messaging that wanting sex is bad, wrong and evil.
So, guys are convinced that women do not want us to initiate sexually, that we will actually harm them in some way if we do this.
I didn't even believe that woman enjoyed sex more than men until I was in my late twenties.
I always thought that men got all the pleasure from sex and women just had to give it up. That is how it’s mostly portrayed in the movies: it showed the husband begging for sex and then, when he finally got it, it seemed that he now owes the woman, as if it's some chore for her.
